Cornwall Counselling Hub: Caroline Pearce
I am a qualified therapist and counsellor working with adults and young people aged 13 and over, offering a warm, supportive, and confidential space for self-exploration and personal development. I am based in St Austell and work online.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, domestic abuse, and sexual abuse, as well as a long history of working with families who have faced significant adversity. I worked within social care for 13 years, seeing cycles of intergenerational trauma impacting parents and their children and then continuing through the families, Seeing how this unresolved trauma can affect peoples lives sparked a passion for becoming a therapist and supporting others in their healing.
I am also trained in and regularly work with anxiety, depression, panic, grief, relationship difficulties, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and many other emotional and psychological challenges.
I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each individual’s needs. These include person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, narrative exposure therapy, and attachment-based approaches. This flexible way of working allows therapy to be tailored to you, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
I am passionate about building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships where clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever may be causing you difficulties, while also developing greater self-awareness to support personal growth and change. I welcome anyone who is considering therapy.
Within our work together, I will share practical strategies and ideas to help you cope with difficult emotions and experiences, supporting you to feel more in control of your life and the direction you want it to take. I am fully insured with Holistic Insurers and an accredited member of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society), a professional body that upholds high ethical standards.
I am a Clinical Supervisor for counsellors.
