Cornwall Counselling Hub: Laura Webber
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a passion and drive to help and empower others. I am based in Falmouth & Penryn.
I believe in equality, everyone has a right to peace and freedom. My ethical and moral principles are embedded in my everyday life, I live my life in a compassionate way towards all people, the environment and nature. I have trained and worked within the areas of domestic and sexual abuse as well counselling for depression, anxiety and a wealth of other issues. I work integratively, tailoring techniques to fit my clients, these techniques aspire from Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Attachment-based, Mindfulness and Systemic approaches.
I firmly believe that my own journey, lead by professional and personal experiences, has infused my passion to work in an area that will allow my values for respect and autonomy to be beneficial to others. This is in line with the ethical framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) of which I am a member.
I offer individual, couples and family therapy over a range of issues including abuse, anxiety, depression, bereavement, carer support, climate grief, discrimination, family/relationship issues, low self-esteem, self-harm, trauma and positive psychology to enhance general well-being.
I believe that by working together we can achieve more self-awareness by understanding your roots, aspirations and improve self-management, social awareness and relationships. My offer of therapy is a warm, non-judgmental and supportive approach providing a safe space for exploration and growth. I like to focus on strengths and search for constructive contributions towards solutions. We can anaylse behaviour patterns and beliefs and together discover new perspectives to open up more options. Explorations can include searching for meanings and how to live in line with your values.
